I am a little bit more than halfway through reading the Picture of Dorian Gray and when I do finish it I am am so rping either Dorian Gray or Basil Halleward at ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) ccrpg because they are both really awesome and I love the book and rping them would be interesting!
P.S. If I do apply as Dorian Gray it would be cool to see other people app as other people from the book.

so i am behind the ball on this, but i just heard about neopolis and it sounds like an awesome league of awesome. i didn't have any ideas, until i remembered a character idea i've had, literally, for years. if not high school, then my first year of college. 06. three yearz. the character idea was really super powered, and then i realized the idea of twins, with related by opposite powers, would be more interesting. i'm wondering if anyone would be interested in playing a twin set with me, possibly with a splitting of allegiances, which doesn't have to be decided right away, since i would prefer a lot of stuff to happen organically.
anywhoodles, if anyone's interested, let me know and i can tell you more about the powers and crap.

From the annals of randomness:
My brother's middle name is Alexander. Alexander is a family name - he was named for my mother's ancestor*, who was named for his ancestor, who was named for his father Alec.
The only thing is, Alec wasn't really Alec at all. Before he moved into the area where they then lived and married his wife, he was known as Amos Gerard, and had had another wife entirely. If I recall the story correctly he may have been an army deserter as well (my mother would know but checking would probably result in an hour's lesson about family history) but he was certainly a marriage deserter, which I'm not sure his second wife ever found out - though she did discover that his name was not Alec Goring, and there's a story that she went to the priest wanting to have the marriage annulled because he wasn't the man she'd married, but was told that she married the man, not the name. (As far as I know the marriage was fine after that, but she may have secretly hated him. They had children, anyway, and one of their...granddaughters, I think, was the first female something-or-rather-political in New Zealand - she has a biography, which does not mention the bigomy.)
*I'm not sure of the exact line of descent, but it can't have been direct as my mother's maiden name is Miller, not Goring, and I don't believe her mother's is either. Or Gerard, for that matter.

I figured that posting about this in my icon journal would be perfect due to the amount of friends I have added on here. I'm looking for a new Harry Potter game to join, preferably post-warts with an interesting/AU plot, but the things from all of the books have had to have happened (epilogue compliant isn't important). I'd want to play Hermione Granger, with Parvati Patil as someone I'd pick up later on.
It's difficult to find a really fantastic game in which Hermione has not yet been cast, so I'll take everything into consideration.
I'm also looking to play Peyton Sawyer against Lucas Scott, perhaps in a game or a PSL? I would also love to do some book related games or PSLs, such as Stacey from Blue is for Nightmares or Camelia from Deadly Little Secret.

I'm back from New England now but I still think I'll be scarce at my games (save working on Crabbe). I'm really glad that BL is on pause this week. I can't see my floor, I haven't seen my family, and I'm not in the mood to RP especially after I ALMOST DIED last night.
Okay so Dena picked me up from the airport and we went and grabbed dinner and then went back to the airport to pick up my friend Albert. Well, sometime while we were eating, the roads TURNED TO ICE.
And we were almost to the tunnel on the drive to the MacNamara terminal (if you know Metro Airport at all) and started fishtailing and then we SPUN twice and I don't know how we didn't hit that wall but I guess the curb was tall enough that we just bounced off it.
So fucking scary.

My friend and I have started a high school game at ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) bonchancemod and we've just opened holds. It's set in a fictional town in Louisiana and the characters are all based around tarot cards. So if it sounds like your thing, please check it out! Especially if you play boys, which we need really badly. ;) I think it's going to be really fun!

In some ways I've changed, but in many, not so much.
I started on Easyjournal with my little emo angel!
Then moved to Pitas! Entries are here: What Can I Do For You? also more and here, Version 3.0 is here and Roses and Wings. I am SO SAD you cannot see the layout. It was glorious. Unfortunately all pics/downloads were on my Trinity webpage. The webpage was named Nekyuia. WOW.
I know I started some drama with these entries at some point b/c everyone at college read them. Nothing major, and really, it was best to get my annoyance out in the open. I don't think I'm much more mature than I was then, but I think I have a slightly better online filter. But I did only start blogging in college, so, it's not like I'm a total teenager.
And then I moved to LJ. Maybe my goal should be to use my rename token and really start a new me for 2009.
I had a journal on GJ, but it was basically the same as this journal: meant for RP.

I love reading longfic (provided it's good). I hate writing it. I'm awful at it, I plan it faster than I write it so I lose steam and lose interest and it never gets past a couple thousand words.
Which is why I really hate when I get a plotbunny. Even (and/or especially) when it's a slightly hilariously cracky one. Like this one.

As you can see, all the interesting stuff has been written out in my head already. This makes actually writing the story sort of boring to me. Therefore, imagine that ^ that plot was presented in a lengthy and well-written fashion, with wonderful verbalosity and an engaging narrative voice that is humorous when appropriate and steeped in mood-giving properties when needed.
